Ahmed owned a small carpentry and furniture factory in Al-Hadi Street in Baghdad, and has long dreamed of growing and expanding it by installing new, modern machinery. Ahmed turned to many banks and loan companies, but the offered loan terms and requirements did not suit his needs. Then one day, he met with a friend who was a former CHF Vitas Iraq borrower who explained to him how the institution helped him in develop his project. Ahmed followed his friends’ advice and obtained financing from CHF Vitas Iraq, which allowed him to move his industrial unit to a larger space, and a year later with the help of the second loan he was able to purchase modern machinery and expand the operations of his factory.
